New addition to the Fourth of July celebration

Walk-around entertainers, food vendors, the Longmont Symphony Orchestra, and — for the first time this year — the Thornton Community Band are featured at the celebration. And, of course, spectacular fireworks. The festivities start at 5 p.m.

Reminder: Fireworks illegal in City of Thornton

Fireworks pose a danger not only to the individual user, but to the community. For those reasons, the City of Thornton has a ban against the personal use, sale and storage of fireworks. Residents who have already purchased fireworks can drop them off at any Thornton Fire Station, where they will be safely disposed of.
